 A Little About Me

“Pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.” Proverbs 16:24

Hi, my name is Melissa, which means honeybee. I was born in a pastel peachy pink hospital, the color of a soft sunsetting sky in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Just down the block from the hospital is a big white church with a tall steeple where I married Jeff, which means “God peace”. Jeff builds homes/dwelling spaces for people to live in, and I stay at home with our three year old son Oliver. We also have a cocker spaniel-poodle dog named Magnolia, “Maggie”. I taught fourth grade for two years then worked at a little dance shop selling ballet shoes and tutu’s before I became a mom.

Devotional above from the book Streams in the Desert given to me by my Grandma.

“Planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God.”

Psalms 92:13

Newsletter + Free Art Printable

If you need some gentleness to strengthen your soul, you can sign up for my newsletter letter and a free art printable created by me. I try to send one out once a month or once every other month.

Plus, there is the option to receive notification of new blog posts, but only if this is your preference. I understand how less can be more when it comes to your email inbox.

The newsletter will include new content just for subscribers. It will give you a behind the scenes look into my life; from my art & writing projects, books I am loving, what’s new with Jeff and I, to what God has been teaching me.
